David has been at Rocky Knoll since 2009. He and his lovely wife, Holly, live in Climax, NC with their therapy dog, Ginger. David enjoys music, reading, the outdoors, photography, art, playing video games, intense Bible studies, engaging conversations, and just relaxing on his deck overlooking the natural setting of dense woodland.
One of David’s many talents is the gift of creativity, which he uses to serve the Lord with. “It is a calling, a gift from the Almighty. I have to use it for His glory.”, relates David. “Ever since I can remember I have in some way been active in music and the arts. We serve a very creative God; it is He who inspires me.”
Worship is serious to David. “Worship is a way of life, not just something we do at church,” says David. “The entire service must be all about Jesus! The music should not be for entertainment only. Every song, every word, every action should lead the audience in worship and prepare them for the Message from the Pastor. It should be authentic worship. Everything should point to Jesus!”
