Helpful Information:
Registration:
When you come onto our campus, you will be greeted by our VBS staff and led to the registration table. Each person (regardless of age) will be asked to register themselves and/or the children they bring. Please arrive early your first night to make time for registration. (Save time by bringing your filled out printable form(s) or Register Online . When you have completed your registration you will be escorted to your proper location to await the start of each night.

Transportation:
Children may be dropped off and picked up each night at the front doors of our facility. Van transportation is available. Please call (336) 274-3188 or Email us (rockyknoll@rockyknollbaptist.com) to schedule your pick up and drop off. Please include full address and names and ages of all persons requesting van transportation when you contact us.

Cost of Event: (FREE)
This event and all services associated with it are free of charge. However, an offering is taken each night which is a competition between the girls and the guys as to who can bring the most money. All offering funds are taken to support missions in the Greensboro area.

Will my child have fun?
What we hear from people that have attended in years past is “We will not miss next year.” “We love Community VBS and will be back next year.” “My child had the best time. They talked about and sung the songs for weeks after your event was over, Wow.”

What should my child wear to VBS?
T-shirt and shorts are great. Each night includes games that are played outdoors are some include water. While it is NOT necessary for your child to wear a bathing suit, closed toe shoes are recommended.

How much does VBS cost?
This event is completely free. However, nightly offerings will be taken up to support local missions.

What is the food like?
Our competent staff serves a light supper each night of VBS. Meal items may include pizza, hotdogs, sandwiches, cookies, chips, and punch.

What if my child has food allergies?
We take special note at registration of any child that has any special dietary needs. Our food staff understands and will make alternative food available for such persons.

Is this a safe event for my child?
We take safety very seriously when it comes to children. Each child is registered and given a name tag to identify them. Each worker is screened and will also be wearing a name badge. In addition, we provide a security staff and have over 20 volunteers that are trained in child safety on the grounds at all times during VBS. Members of the Greensboro police department are on campus and available at all times as well.

Where do I drop off / pick up my child?
We would love for your whole family to stay and participate in all of the age appropriate fun. However, we understand that this is not always possible for everyone. Please escort your child in to be dropped off at the registration table located in the breeze-way of our facility. Children may be picked up in the auditorium at the end of each night of VBS.
Please Note: Children are NOT permitted to meet you in the parking lot for pick up. Your child will be sitting in the auditorium with their group at the close of each night waiting for you to come and pick them up.

What will my child do at VBS?
Your child will have the opportunity to participate in different fun and exciting activities each night of VBS. This is done in a rotation type fashion where each age group moves from one activity to another through the night. Your child will participate in our large group rally where we play exciting music and present live skits. Craft rotation is where your child will get to make a different age appropriate craft to take home with them. Food time is where your child will enjoy some great snacks. Recreation time is where the fun never ends. Bible study time is where your child will be presented with fun relevant motivational lessons based on Biblical messages. And finally, your child will be led back to the auditorium for the big group rally to end each exciting night of VBS.

What can Teens do at VBS?
Teens have a blast at VBS because we tailor it just for them. Students from 6th – 12th grades will meet and participate in the exciting group rally. Following the rally teens will go to their prospective rooms for relevant dynamic speaking by professional student leaders. Teens will also have the opportunity to participate in group recreation time, enjoy free food, and make a craft. Teens will gather in the auditorium at the end of each night to participate in the ending rally.

What can Adults do at VBS?
As an adult participating in VBS, you will have the opportunity to participate in the large group rally with everyone. Immediately following the rally, you will be asked to move to the front of the auditorium for a better seat for the adult session. Adults will enjoy special live music and congregational singing. The session will include a challenging and dynamic message by one of the sponsoring church pastors or teachers.
